Business grants and funding for start ups, micro and small businesses

Start ups, micro enterprises and small businesses can apply for business grants from between £10,000 to £250,000 in matchfunding for business development projects that will improve the economic performance of rural businesses and strengthen job prospects across the Fens Adventurer geographic area.

Who can apply for funding?

Any micro enterprise can apply for business development funding (with fewer than 10 employees and less than €2million turnover or balance sheet) providing they are/will be located within the Fens Adventurer area based around the rural Cambridgeshire and broadly fit the priorities and sectors identified. Business grants for research and development

The area around Cambridge and Ely is a key part of the world-renowned Cambridge high-tech cluster. In order to build on the skills and innovation found within growth clusters the government backed Technology Strategy Board is offering business grants and funding to small and medium sized enterprises (SME) who work across science, engineering and technology.

Who can apply for funding?

Any SME can apply for business funding to engage in research and development projects that could stimulate economic growth. Grant funding is available for the following areas; Proof of market, Proof of concept and the Development of prototypes.
