Setting up in East Cambs:
Kore Technology moved from Cambridge Science park in 2001 to e-space north business centre in Littleport to take advantage of the cost savings on rents and business rates. The flexible leases on offer at the centres allowed Kore to use e-space north as a temporary base while the space available to develop in Ely was utilised to develop new premises that we moved into in Sept 2002.
Doing Business In East Cambs:
The skill levels within the East Cambs workforce has meant that Kore has had no problems recruiting people. The Ely train station is a real asset linking Ely to Cambridge and London and the congestion is much less of a problem than in Cambridge.
Future Prospects:
Kore is 24.9% owned by a big multinational Japanese company-if we continue to do well they are likely to take us over completely and I suspect they would want to establish a good sized base in Ely.
